Mullapur Friends Society Welfare Trust UK is a UK based charity striving to alleviate poverty and lack of education amongst the most poor, vulnerable adults and children in Mullapur and sourounding area in Sylhet, Bangladesh.
Short term support is provided to fulfilling peoples immediate needs and equipping people, especially children, with knowledge and tools for long term self-sufficiency.
Our current projects focuses on improving the lives of the poor and deprived. We aspire to utilise our expertise, knowledge and network so that we can focus on helping the deprived, poor needy and vulnerable families and communities. Food distribution
Poor people also deserve a chance to smile. Help us bring that smile by giving them food items for Eid-ul-Fitr.Mullapur Friends Society Welfare Trust UKwill be providing food items for Eid-ul-Fitr towards the end of Ramdan for the poor people to enjoy the day of Eid.

Project for the Blind
Help change lives for the long term. Give a monthly donation for the blind project and transform peoples lives for the better. Your generous regular support will enable us to fund treatment such as cataracts,and provide financial support for the blind people in need.

Orphans
Children in Bangladesh are particularly affected by the general poverty levels and in many cases they do not attend school regularly.The quality of, and access to, health care and education varies. Mullapur Friends Society Welfare Trust UK is raising fund to provide support to the orphans to have access to health and education.

Fresh water project
Mullapur Friends Society Welfare Trust UK has focused its Safer Water initiative in Mullapur and souroung area in Bangaldesah.
Diseases from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war [World Health Organisation (WHO), Global Burden Disease Report, 2004].

Winter project
Mullapur Friends Society Welfare Trust UK is raising funds for the winter clothing project. Many poor people in Bangladesh cannot afford to buy warm clothes for winter. In this scenario, women and children suffer even more. Clothing such as blankets and sweaters and other essential items will be distrubuted for the poor people to keep warm in the winter. So we would like to appeal to the visitors of this site to help raise fund for the winter project.
